Cathy Mayor’s garden is truly a hydrangea lover’s paradise. The magnificent hues of purple, blue, and lavender are captivating in her well established garden. Cathy first started growing hydrangeas about ten years ago. Truly she has found her gardening niche! Her lightly shaded garden provides optimal growing conditions for Nikko blue, Endless Summer, lacecaps as well as many others.
This towering lacecap has to be her garden’s star hydrangea. The enormous blooms must measure at least 6 inches in diameter!
From mophead to lacecap to oak leaf, hydrangeas make a huge impact in our Southern gardens from late spring into the early fall months. There are so many varieties to choose from. Hydrangeas are also a favorite flower to clip and share with a friend. But, be sure to clip early in the day for optimal enjoyment..
Thanks, Cathy, for letting us take a peak into your “hydrangea heaven”.
I am blessed to have a friend who enjoys sharing her garden..
“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom” . . . .
